Ozone is a powerful disinfectant that easily eliminates all types of microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and molds on the barrel surface. No ozone-resistant bacteria are known, and contact time is very short.

Traditional chemicals can leave traces that alter the flavors, aromas, or composition of the wine or beer stored. Ozone (O3) is a molecule composed of 3 oxygen atoms; it is chemically aggressive but quickly transforms into oxygen (O2), leaving no residues and without altering your product.

What kind of ozone generator do I need?

1. What is the difference between the ranges?
The main difference is that the HIDRO VT GRZO range is water-cooled, has a higher gas ozone concentration, and offers higher production levels, making it suitable for large-flow projects.
Both ranges include a full air unit (compressor, dryer, and oxygen concentrator), PLC, meters, leak sensor, booster pump, contact tank, venturi, etc.
2. How much ozone do I need?
Based on ZonoSistem’s experience, its specialized distributors, scientific literature, and validation tests, the required dissolved ozone dose for barrel surface disinfection should be in the range of 3 – 5 ppm.
