Installation of a 2 kg Ozone Generator for the Fasanarella Irrigation Project, Italy

Ozone technology ensures efficient water treatment for a farmers’ irrigation consortium in Italy

ZonoSistem ha culminado con éxito la instalación de un generador de ozono GR 2000 en el proyecto de la red de riego de Fasanarella, una iniciativa agrícola de referencia en el sur de Italia.

The system, designed for a treatment flow of approximately 1,800 m³/h, aims to disinfect water from the Sele River used to irrigate about 300 hectares of crops, vegetables, and fourth-range tomatoes managed by an irrigation community.

The Fasanarella irrigation network project includes the construction of a new pipeline network, a specific lifting system, and a 16,700 m3 storage tank lined with reinforced concrete in situ. The water is diverted directly from the main irrigation channel originating from the Persano dam on the Sele River, conducted to the compensation reservoir, and then pumped through a 2,900-meter-long pipeline.

Our ozone generator is integrated into the process to eliminate microorganisms, viruses, and organic matter from the water, ensuring safe, sustainable, and chemical-free irrigation. This solution maintains the sanitary quality of the water, protects crops, and optimizes water resources, reducing environmental impact.

With this installation, we reaffirm our commitment to technological innovation, food safety, and environmental sustainability, offering ozone solutions that provide efficiency and added value to the agricultural sector.
