Benefits of purchasing your containerised ozone system
Quick installation and integration
ZonoSistem’s containerised ozonation plants drastically reduce installation and integration times, thereby avoiding disruption or downtime in our customers’ production processes. All that is required is to connect the power supply and the water supply.
Mobility and flexibility
This is the main advantage of these systems, as the customer can relocate the containerised ozonation plant if their process requires it, or even move it to other production sites.
No civil engineering works required
Containerised ozonation plants can be installed outdoors, as they are designed to maintain a constant temperature outside and to dissipate the heat generated by their internal cooling systems. The space within these plants is utilised more efficiently than in a standard or traditional plant room.
Safety and Containment
The Containerised Ozonation Plant provides a safe, confined environment, which is crucial for the safety of staff and the ozonation equipment itself.
Suitable for harsh environments
These containerised plants can be designed so that the air entering them is thoroughly purified and does not interfere with the ozonisation process. Furthermore, in areas with extreme temperatures, we maintain a constant external temperature.
Flexibility of use
Containerised ozonation plants are a strategic asset; if your needs change, you can easily relocate them to another project. It is an investment that adapts to your future.

ZonoSistem Case Studies: Plug & Play Containerised Ozone Plants
Containerised ozone treatment plant for the olive oil industry, Spain
The project includes a pilot-scale ozonation plant designed to investigate the dosages required for the full-scale process. It features a self-contained GRZO industrial ozonation system that enables injection into bubble columns. The project stems from a confidential R&D programme, developed at ZonoSistem’s pilot plant in collaboration with its commercial partner, and was subsequently scaled up to a 20-foot container to continue development and on-site research.
Containerised Ozonation Plant – Food industry, Réunion Island
This project includes a self-sufficient ozone system producing 500 g/h of ozone, which enables the disinfection of five CIP lines in the dairy industry. The factory’s island location necessitates the use of on-site disinfection systems that do not rely on the availability of traditional chemicals. Furthermore, line disinfection times are reduced, and the load of effluent sent to the treatment plant is reduced by 90 per cent, improving the COD/BOD ratio and ensuring compliance with effluent regulations. The system injects ozonated water into each CIP circuit, containing 5 ppm of ozone dissolved in water.
1 kg containerised ozone generation plant for the pharmaceutical industry, Hungary
The aim of this project is to oxidise dissolved organic matter in a pharmaceutical industry scrubber. Ozone removes dissolved nitrogen compounds and other dissolved organic matter from the liquid effluent stream. A self-contained 1 kg/h ozone system is used for this purpose.
Containerised ozone treatment plant for urban wastewater. Tenerife
This project comprises a 20-foot container housing a self-contained 1 kg/h O₃ system, which injects the gas into two pressurised injection and recirculation systems. These injection systems treat biological effluent from the Wastewater pumping station. The aim is to reduce microbiological levels, BOD, COD, TSS and odour in the water pumped to the marine outfall. The treatment flow rate is 1,000 m³/h and the injection rate is 10 ppm.
Containerised ozone treatment plant for high irrigation flow rates, Italy
The project comprises a 20-foot container housing a self-contained 500 g/h ozone system that injects ozone into a HIDRO VT unit through which 100 per cent of the irrigation flow from an agricultural holding passes. The aim is to ensure the disinfection of the irrigation water, as well as to increase the dissolved oxygen level, remove biofilm from the pipework and prevent blockages in the drippers. The treatment flow rate is 250 m³/h and the injection rate is 2 ppm.
Containerised Ozonation Plant for the chemical industry, Portugal
Containerised Ozonation Plant for a WWTP. Spain
This project is the first of its kind to have been designed, developed and installed in Spain. It involves the ozonation of activated sludge from a WWTP, with the aim of reducing filamentous bacteria, E. coli and emerging pollutants. Ozonation of the sludge reduces the volume produced and leads to corresponding savings in sludge management. The project includes a self-contained 3 kg/h ozone system, installed in two 20-foot containers, which house all the technology, control systems and remote automation required to inject ozone into the sludge, monitor the process and achieve the set objectives.
Containerised ozonation plant. NOx oxidation. France
This project comprises a 40-foot container housing a complete, self-contained ozone generation system with an output of 5 kg/h. The system comprises a compressor, a drying and filtration system, an oxygen generator, an ozone generator and a chiller. All components are compact and integrated within the container. It also includes an electrical power distribution system and an automated, remote control system. The aim of the project is to oxidise NOx, converting it into soluble species, and to remove it via a wet scrubber.
Containerised ozonation plant. Cooling tower. Spain
This project comprises a compact, self-contained ozone system with a production capacity of 2 kg/h, housed within a 20-foot container, as well as five ozone injection units. The aim is to treat a flow rate of 250 m³/h of cooling water from a double-stage, open-circuit cooling tower. The system guarantees water disinfection, the elimination of Legionella colonies and the safe discharge of water into the river with an ozone concentration of 0 ppm. Effectiveness and safety in a single project. Produced on-site without the use of chemicals.
